Hi all. What a great find this board will be. I come to Sioux Lookout area pretty much every year and LOVE the pike and smallmouth fishing. We have had tons of success at Sandy Beach Lake, but became victims of our own success with dozens of masters and trophies being published every year in the master angler magazine Jackie puts out and the old Lodge's website listings. Our great little lodge that nobody use to go to now is overbooked and they don't need us anymore and wouldn't save out spot Anyway, there are 6 of us coming this may 19th and are staying at Andersons Lodge. We have access to Minnitaka, big and little vermillion, abrams, pelican, lac seul and a couple smaller ones by boat. We use the boats to go to shallow bays where creeks or rivers come in. We use our own flys and use waders (with lots of layers underneath LOL) and get in the water to fish. Does anyone know any good spots of any of these lakes where these conditions exist? I am pretty positive that down on pickerel arm there is an ideal spot where the river from big sandy lake comes in, but it is a long boat ride. Any ideas or feedback is totally welcome and maybe we can spend a day fishing with you when we are up there. Thanks, Dean Clark

Hi Dean,
You'll have plenty of good fishing fairly close by Anderson's in May. Don't give in to the temptation to go everywhere or to go as far as you can get or you'll spend all your time traveling. Sightseeing is great, but it'll sure cut down your fishing time.
Hope you have a spectacular trip. (I think you will!)
Good wishes.
Dick
