Hi Dick, hope all is well. Four of us are coming up the week of the 23rd to 30th, and we are wondering if the water levels are high enough to boat into Lac Seul through Pelican rapids? I guess it could change quickly anyways, but is it normally high enough at this time? I love your web cam, and looking at it now makes me anxious to get there ! If you have time, I'd love your opinion on the water level. Thanks so much, Forrest - P.S.we're staying at West Point Cove, and would like to buy you a cup of coffee if you're around that week- or a beer/ drink.

Hi Forrest, Water levels are about normal for this time of year and the rapids should be easily navigable. You'll have no trouble as long as you know the way to run 'em. I pass by Hochstedler's frequently and would love to have a visit with you. Here's my cell number... 807-738-2628. Good wishes, Dick

Thanks Dick, I'll make sure to give you a call. I've been thru the rapids a number of times, with no trouble, so I hope our luck holds out. It's always a bit thrilling for this flatlander, [ from Illinois], and it is a fun part of the Canadian adventure. By the way, Pelican looks so nice right now,I can hardly wait. I'm feeling 14, instead of 64.
